BPCL secures financing for Bina mega project, partners Kerala govt

Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd (BPCL) has achieved financial closure for its ambitious Bina Refinery Expansion cum Petrochemical Project. The project, supported by a ₹31,802 crore loan from a consortium led by State Bank of India, will expand capacity from 7.8 MMTPA to 11 MMTPA while adding a 1.2 MMTPA ethylene cracker unit.
“This project will transform Bina into a petrochemical hub, driving value addition beyond fuels,” BPCL’s Chairman said in a recent interaction.
In Kerala, BPCL signed a ₹25.12 crore agreement with the state government for a four-lane road to the Ambalamugal Industrial Hub, alongside an ₹11.34 crore amenity centre at the Cochin Cancer Research Centre. The projects reflect BPCL’s dual focus on infrastructure develo...
