In August, Power Grid Corporation of India switched on the Khavda Pooling Station-3, a node that will funnel vast amounts of renewable electricity from Gujarat’s desert park to the grid. The COD on 4 August, and regulatory clearance on 18 August, make it a keystone for India’s renewable expansion.
The company’s board has cleared a ₹5,000 crore bond issue with 10-year maturity, to be listed on BSE and NSE. Funding flexibility is crucial as transmission corridors and HVDC projects multiply.
