Oil India Limited (OIL) and Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) have agreed to set up Arunachal Pradesh’s first state-wide City Gas Distribution (CGD) network, taking India’s natural gas expansion to one of its most sparsely populated and geographically difficult states. The licence, awarded under the 12th round of the Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Board (PNGRB), covers the entire state rather than select districts, making it the first comprehensive CGD concession in India’s northeastern frontier. BPCL’s hydrogen pivot signals a new phase for India’s refining giant

Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd (BPCL) posted a stronger-than-expected profit in the first quarter of FY26, with net earnings of ₹61.24 billion against market estimates closer to ₹57 billion. BPCL secures financing for Bina mega project, partners Kerala govt

By Newscript News Network  August 21, 2025 Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd (BPCL) has achieved financial closure for its ambitious Bina Refinery Expansion cum Petrochemical Project. The project, supported by a ₹31,802 crore loan from a consortium led by State Bank of India, will expand capacity from 7.8 MMTPA to 11 MMTPA while adding a 1.2 MMTPA ethylene cracker unit. “This project will transform Bina into a petrochemical hub, driving value addition beyond fuels,” BPCL’s Chairman said in a recent interaction. In Kerala, BPCL signed a ₹25.12 crore agreement with the state government for a four-lane road to the Ambalamugal Industrial Hub, alongside an ₹11.34 crore amenity centre at the Cochin Cancer Research Centre.
